Tuesday, May 20th Meeting
DFW RIMS & Dallas CPCU

“Changing Environments, Changing Workforce”

Presented by: Todd Gable, Assistant Vice President of Jacobson Associates

It is common knowledge in the business community that we are on the cusp of a labor crisis. By the decade’s end, 64 million United States workers will be able to retire, triggering a labor crisis unlike any the country has ever seen. With only 17 million new workers entering the workforce, the insurance and risk management sectors will not be immune to the staffing challenge presented by the impeding talent threat.

The retirement of the baby boomers has initiated a generational shift in today’s workplace. It is vital that both employers and employees are aware of this shift and make the necessary adjustments to reach optimum productivity and to grow their organizations into the future. Today’s workforce spans four generations from Traditionalists to Millennials (Gen Y); and it is more important than ever to fully understands the differences between these generations and to embrace the value that this diversity offers. This presentation will help attendees appreciate generational differences and overcome the inherent challenges presented by the changing workforce.
