2008 Student Internship Program

The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of RIMS and the Spencer Educational Foundation are both pleased to offer RIMS members/associates the opportunity to participate and receive grants to provide a Student Internship Program locally! Grants of up to $5,000 each will be awarded to selected RIMS member/associate companies to support this internship program.

Your DFW RIMS chapter already has an existing internship program and has approached local universities for intern candidates. Intern candidates must possess a GPA of 2.7 or higher. All you have to do is submit a proposal.

Proposal Guidelines: The grant requires that priority be given to matching a student with a RIMS member company employer. There is no deadline for receiving 2008 internship proposals. Proposal should include:

1) Name of company and nature of business

2) Examples of meaningful projects or responsibilities for the intern

3) Duration of the internship (must be eight weeks or more)

A final report from both the employer and the intern is required.

Please send proposals to Courtney Sturgeon at csturgeo@ci.mesquite.tx.us If you have additional questions you can contact her at (972)-216-6493.
